General conditions of sale for stays in guest rooms – À l’Orée des Vignes
Article 1 – Duration of stay
The customer who has signed this contract concluded for a specific period may not, under any circumstances, claim any right to remain in the premises.
Article 2 – Reservation formalities
After receiving your reservation request, we will send you by email – or, in the absence of an email address, by post – a written confirmation (a reservation contract). We invite you to respond affirmatively to the contract by email or post as soon as possible and to pay a deposit within ten days (but more quickly if it is a reservation made with less notice). The amount of this deposit corresponds to 50% of the total amount of the price of the stay with a minimum of one night per room selected. Upon receipt of the deposit, the reservation becomes firm. This payment will be cashed upon receipt, its amount being deducted from the total cost of the stay upon your departure. Payment of the deposit constitutes confirmation of your full agreement with these general conditions. Importantly, the absence of payment of the deposit within the allotted time means that the reservation is not confirmed and that, consequently, we reserve the right to recover the rooms which have become vacant again.
Article 3 – Coof consumption – right of withdrawal
A reservation made online, by telephone, and/or by mail is a distance purchase. This is a contract concluded remotely within the meaning of the definition given by the Consumer Code. We are subject to articles L. 121-17 et seq. of the Consumer Code. We note that the right of withdrawal does not exist for contracts for hosting services.
Article 4 – Cancellation of the stay by the customer
Any modification is only possible after the agreement of “À l’Orée des Vignes” and may result in additional costs. We inform you that in the event of cancellation of the reservation before the start of the stay, compensation will be due, as a penalty clause, by the customer as follows:
– if the cancellation occurs more than 8 weeks before the arrival date, the deposit will be refunded in full;
– if the cancellation occurs between 2 weeks and less than 8 weeks before the arrival date, the deposit will remain with La Paresse en Douce;
– if the cancellation occurs less than 2 weeks before the arrival date, the deposit will remain with La Paresse en Douce which has the right to claim and invoice the balance of the price of the stay (in accordance with the reservation contract) if the stay remains vacant following cancellation.
In the event of early departure during your stay: full payment of the reserved service is due whatever the reason.
Article 5 – Cancellation insurance payable by the customer
We draw your attention to the fact thatno cancellation insurance is included in our prices. It is therefore strongly recommended to subscribe to one.
Article 6 – Cancellation of the stay by the owner
If, before the start of the stay, the owner has to cancel the reservation, he must immediately inform his customer by any means. The customer will then be immediately and fully reimbursed for the sums he has already paid.
Article 7 – Arrival time
Arrival is expected in the afternoon from 5 p.m., and possible until 8 p.m. In the event of a special or unforeseen request, it will be necessary to contact us by telephone on 0033 (0)6 07 51 80 93 for ournotify us of any delays.
Article 8 – Departure time
Check-out time for rooms is 11 a.m. at the latest.
Article 9 – Payment of the accommodation balance
Payment of the balance of the stay will be made on the day of your departure, in accordance with your reservation contract, possibly supplemented by additional costs, among other things relating to the table d'hôte and drinks.
Article 10 – Change of rooms
Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room initially reserved by the customer with a room of the same or greater capacity. In this case, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.
Article 11 – Pets
Pets are not allowed.
Article 12 – Art of living and use of premises
In order to guarantee the tranquility of the place and the comfort of the guests of La Paresse en Douce, respect for a certain “art of living” is required of all. In particular, you are asked not to smoke inside. The customer undertakes to respect the etiquette instructions which will be indicated to him and these general conditions of sale.
The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition and free of damage at the end of the stay and to systematically declare – and financially assume – any damage for which he or she is responsible. Repair costs, including the time required for repairs, will be paid according to separate invoicing and on the basis of supporting documents for the costs incurred.
It is specified that the kitchen is not left at the free disposal of guests.
Guests' attention is drawn to the fact that minors operating on the property are placed under the sole and entire responsibility of their parents or persons having authority over them. Children must always be accompanied by an adult in our house and/or on the grounds (including the swimming pool).
Your stay at À l’Orée des Vignes and the use of our equipment and facilities such as the swimming pool and parking space is done voluntarily and at your own risk.
À l’Orée des Vignes is not responsible for cases of loss, theft and/or damage or injury caused to property and/or people on the property, whatever the cause.
Article 13 – Modification of the conditions of sale
These conditions of sale are moavailable at any time and without notice. Acceptance and compliance with these conditions of sale are deemed acquired as soon as the deposit is paid.
Article 14 – Data processing and freedom law
In accordance with Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms, you have the right to access and rectify data concerning you. We undertake not to transmit under any circumstances the information that you have communicated to us to other companies or organizations.
